Pintor que reside en la ciudad de Madrid. Su interés por la forma y el color nace desde temprana edad, viendo una y otra vez videos sobre los impresionistas, a través de los cuales se familiariza con obras de Pisarro, Monet, Corot, Turner o E. Degás.
Actualmente, está motivado por desarrollar un lenguaje pictórico que aune la estética contemporánea junto con la herencia de la etapa postimpresionista. El instante, el caráter de la luz y los elementos propios del paisaje social que le rodean influyen en la iconografía de su obra.
Luis Capitán is a painter based on Madrid, a big city where is able to absorb actual art and paintings trends. His interest in shapes and colours arose from an early age, watching video tapes from Impressionists painters as Pisarro, Monet, Corot, Turner or E. Degés.
Actually, he is motivated to develop a pictorical language that joining contemporary aesthetics with the heritage of the post-impressionist period. The instant, the quality of light and the elements of the social landscape that surround him take part in the iconography of his work.
